The Academic Senate consists of one Senator per school or college and is led by the Academic Vice President. A Senator is elected to a one year term by the students of each college or school every March. The Senate's goal is to bridge the gap between the students and the administration. Your Senator helps administrators become aware of issues that you face in and outside the classroom. The Senate also exists to provide and promote great academic opportunities for the students. They approve how a portion of your student fees is spent. If you have an idea to improve your campus experience or a concern relating to SUU in general, please, contact your Senator. They are here to help you.
The Senate meets every Wednesday night at 6:00 pm in the Sterling R. Church Auditorium in the Sharwan Smith Student Center. Open forum is always first on the agenda and you are welcome to address the Senate with any concern or idea that you have.
