Every March, the Executive Council of the Southern Utah University Student Association is elected by the student body of SUU. Although candidates often run together as a party, each seat is independently elected. Students who are elected to these positions are charged with the responsibility to represent the student body to the Administration of SUU and continue building a better student experience for all who attend this great institution and essentially overseeing every part of student life. A brief explanation of duties is found below.
- The Student Body President sits on the Board of Trustees and presides over the Cabinet which consists of six students.
- The Academic Vice President sits as an ex-oficio member of the Dean's Council and leads the SUUSA Academic Senate.
- The Clubs & Student Leadership Vice President oversees all clubs and student organizations and leads a student board of Club Directors.
- The Activities Vice President plans, programs, and coordinates campus wide activities for students and leads a student staff of Event Directors that are known as the Student Activities Board or "STAB."
For more information on each office, feel free to contact the student leaders using the e-mails found below.
Applications for the various staff positions in SUUSA are usually made available near the end of March after the election has concluded.
